Susan Chilcoat started in the beauty industry approximately 22 years ago. Spending most of her adult life training in Southern California she has had the opportunity to work and practice her art amongst a variety of professionals in the Los Angeles, Beverly Hills and the San Diego area. Throughout her career she has specialized in and mastered color techniques custom fit to each client and holds a license in three states. Once she became in tuned with her entrepreneurial side she opened her first salon "Desperately Seeking Susan" in San Diego, California with the beach and warm sands close by. She has a passion for the industry and believes in the professionals that have chosen this art as their career. Taking her life, career and vision to a new level she moved to North Carolina with her partner to raise their beautiful boy and has chosen to add the wellness side of her life to her career. With that comes Tranquility Salon and Day Spa. Hi....I'm Jan Stroud. I grew up in Statesville, North Carolina. I am married and still living in Statesville, NC.
Growing up I wanted to be an art teacher and after graduation I was accepted into the Art Institute of Charlotte. I then decided on cosmetic art which lead me to my passion. I graduated from the hair stylist academy in November of 1999. I have been a stylist for nine years and have worked in the Mooresville area for about five of those nine years. I have have been educated in the Italian owned Framesi Color Line and Pureology Hair Care Products. I have attended numerous hairs shows and hands on classes to further educate myself in this ever changing progressive industry.
